Metro South Oral Health (MSOH) provides dental vouchers to eligible patients to access dental care at participating private practices. These vouchers can be used for a range of services, but there are certain conditions to be aware of.

Many people don’t realize they’re grinding their teeth until someone else, like a partner, notices the sound or they begin to experience symptoms such as jaw pain, headaches, or worn-down, sensitive teeth.

Voucher Types:

  1. Emergency Voucher – $260
    – This voucher is for a one-off emergency visit to treat an immediate dental problem. It
    does not cover preventive services
    – Eligible services include a limited exam of the affected area, an x-ray, fillings,
extractions, and other treatments related to the emergency issue.
    – You are eligible to receive two emergency vouchers per year.
  2. General Voucher – $750
    – The general voucher can be used for a full dental examination, clean, x-rays, fluoride
treatment, fillings, extractions, and other necessary treatments around the mouth.
    – There is currently a waiting list of about 2 years to receive a general voucher, so it
is best to get on the list as early as possible.
    – Once the $750 runs out, you may be able to apply for an extension of funds to
complete the treatment, but approval can take 6 weeks plus.
  3. Prosthetics Voucher for Dentures

– This voucher must be used at one of the clinics listed on the MSOH participating providers list.
– We cannot provide assistance with the prosthetics voucher, as these must be handled by a prosthetist in a lab.

Eligibility:
To qualify for the Metro South Oral Health dental vouchers, patients must meet the following
criteria:
– Be eligible for a government benefit such as Centrelink payments, Family Tax Benefits,
or other similar programs.
– Be entitled to Queensland Government subsidised dental services.
– Contact MSOH to enquire about eligibility

Important Notes:
– Vouchers from Metro North or other regions cannot be used at MSOH practices. Only
MSOH vouchers are accepted.
– Vouchers come with an expiration date, so please ensure that you use them before they
expire.
